Univerexport and SPAR Open New Supermarkets in Serbia and Croatia

Serbian retailer Univerexport opened its second store in Kragujevac, located at Janka Veselinovića 12. The 500‑square‑metre outlet offers a wide range of food and non‑food items, emphasizes fresh domestic meat from the company’s own farms, and introduced opening‑day promotions including gift packages for the first 200 customers and free purchases for every 100th shopper. The store operates Monday‑Saturday 7 am‑9 pm and Sunday 7 am‑3 pm.

In Croatia, SPAR opened its eighth supermarket in Rijeka on Viktor Cara Emina 10. The modern 400‑square‑metre shop provides fresh produce, a self‑service bakery, deli sections and ready‑made meals, creates nine new jobs, and donated €2,000 to the city fire brigade. Energy‑efficient systems such as LED lighting and heat‑pump heating/cooling are installed. Opening hours are Monday‑Saturday 7 am‑9 pm and Sunday 7 am‑2 pm.
