Universal Audio brings Topline Vocal Tune to Apollo hardware

Universal Audio has released a DSP version of its Topline Vocal Tune plugin, making it compatible with Apollo and UAD-2 hardware. This update allows users to run pitch correction via the interface’s internal DSP, providing near-zero latency monitoring for vocalists during recording sessions.

The plugin offers a range of capabilities, from transparent, natural-sounding correction to hard-tuned effects common in pop, R&B, and hip-hop. Key features include a ‘Key Finder’ that automatically locks to scales, a ‘Shift Mode’ for pitch and formant control, and MIDI Repitching, which allows users to input melodies via a MIDI keyboard.

Originally released as a native-only plugin, the new DSP version can be switched seamlessly within the LUNA recording suite while preserving all settings. Because the processing occurs on the hardware rather than the computer's CPU, the tool can also be used for live vocal performance.
