Universal Church begins construction of second Temple of Solomon in Gramado
The Universal Church of the Kingdom of God is constructing its second Temple of Solomon in Gramado, a major tourist destination in the Serra Gaúcha region of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Construction began in May 2025, with the first phase nearly complete and an official inauguration scheduled for July 2027.
Inspired by the biblical temple in Jerusalem, the new structure will occupy approximately 3,000 square meters, standing 17 meters high. While smaller than the church's global headquarters in São Paulo—which spans 70,000 square meters—the Gramado temple aims to attract both religious followers and general tourists. The site is located on Av. Borges de Medeiros, facing Lago Joaquina Rita Bier.
