Universal Epic Universe sued over guest slip injury

Juan Bautista Tenjo, a Florida resident, filed a negligence lawsuit in Orange County Circuit Court on July 22, 2026 against Universal City Development Partners Ltd., the operator of Universal Epic Universe. The complaint alleges that Tenjo slipped on a substantial accumulation of water in an attraction queue and designated photo area on November 14, 2025, six months after the park opened, and sustained ongoing injuries.

The lawsuit claims the water pooled around metal inserts used for crowd‑control stanchions, and accuses Universal of failing to inspect, maintain, repair, or warn guests about the hazardous condition. The filing contains no photographs, incident reports, medical records, or eyewitness statements, and does not identify the specific attraction or land within the park. Universal has not been found negligent; the case remains pending.
