Universal Music Group and ElevenLabs partner on AI music platform

Universal Music Group (UMG) and ElevenLabs have entered into a multi-year strategic partnership and licensing agreement to develop AI-driven music and audio products. This marks ElevenLabs’ first agreement with a major music label.

The collaboration will focus on launching an AI music platform designed for fans, allowing them to co-create with music through remixes, mashups, new track interpretations, and personalized vocal experiences. The platform is currently under development and will utilize music from participating artists and songwriters.

Beyond the fan-facing platform, the companies intend to jointly develop AI audio tools specifically for artists and songwriters. Both organizations emphasized a commitment to responsible AI development that respects human creativity and ensures creators can share in the value generated by these new technologies.
