Universal Music Polska acquires Kayax Records catalog

Universal Music Polska, a subsidiary of Universal Music Group, has acquired the catalog and brand rights of Kayax Records, one of Poland’s most prominent independent music companies. The deal includes the rights to all recordings within the Kayax catalog.

As part of the agreement, Universal Music Polska and Kayax Management will enter into a strategic partnership to develop artists and new talent. Kayax Management will continue to operate as an independent entity under the leadership of Managing Director Tomasz Grewiński. The collaboration aims to combine Universal Music Group’s global production, distribution, and catalog management capabilities with Kayax Management’s expertise in artist career development.

Founded in 2001, Kayax Records has been a significant influence on the contemporary Polish music scene for over two decades, representing artists such as Nosowska, Brodka, Krzysztof Zalewski, and Maria Peszek.
