Universal Orlando Resort undergoes multiple construction and refurbishment projects

Universal Orlando Resort is undergoing several construction and refurbishment projects across its parks. At Universal Epic Universe, survey markers have appeared in the undeveloped area designated for the Dark Universe expansion, indicating physical preparation for future development.

At Islands of Adventure, unexpected construction walls and scrim have appeared around the Island Market and Export and the Port of Entry Christmas Shoppe. Additionally, the Lost Continent area is seeing significant changes as demolition progresses to clear space for a future themed land. Looking ahead to 2027, the resort has scheduled temporary closures for Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges in January and Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey in February.

Universal Studios Florida is also seeing activity, with scaffolding and construction equipment surrounding the park's entrance archway. This refurbishment is occurring just ahead of the Halloween Horror Nights 35 season, which is scheduled to begin in late August.
