Universal Orlando Plans 2027 Harry Potter Ride Closure and 2026 25th‑Anniversary Celebrations

Universal Orlando Resort announced that its signature Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey attraction will be temporarily closed for 12 days, from February 8 through February 19 2027. The park listed the interruption as a “Temporary Closure” without specifying the work being performed, leaving guests uncertain whether the ride will return with upgrades or simply resume normal operation.

Separately, the resort will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the film Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone throughout 2026. The Back to Hogwarts season will feature limited‑time food, merchandise and entertainment across all three Wizarding World lands, including the “Hogwarts Always” nighttime projection show, a special 25th‑anniversary Butterbeer mug, house‑themed ice lollies, a Wizarding World x Lug Build‑A‑Bag collection, and upgraded interactive wands with haptic feedback.
