Universal Orlando Resort announces Wicked event at CityWalk

Universal Orlando Resort has announced a special one-day event titled ‘Wicked Oztacular Spectacular’ at Universal CityWalk, scheduled for October 24. The event is designed to celebrate the Wicked film franchise.

Activities for the day include meet-and-greets with characters Glinda and Elphaba, displays of costumes and props from the films, and stained glass photo opportunities. The event will also feature a DJ playing music from the movies, a yellow brick dance floor, and Wicked-themed trivia with prizes. New merchandise will be available at the Universal Legacy Store.

While Universal has not announced any permanent Wicked-themed land at its parks, this single-day event at CityWalk—which does not require a park admission ticket—allows the company to gauge fan interest, attendance, and merchandise sales for the intellectual property.
