Universal Orlando suspends Epic Universe fireworks due to technical issues

Universal Orlando Resort has temporarily suspended the fireworks portion of its nighttime show, ‘Universal Celestial Goodnight,’ at the Epic Universe theme park.

The show, which debuted in July 2026, features music inspired by the park’s themed areas, including Super Nintendo World and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The pyrotechnics, which previously launched behind the Universal Helios Grand Hotel, have been removed from the production.

Universal confirmed the change on September 14, stating that the fireworks are ‘temporarily unavailable as we work to resolve a technical issue.’ The company apologized for the inconvenience and noted they would address guest feedback.
