Universal Orlando to permanently close Animal Actors On Location

Universal Orlando Resort has confirmed that the Animal Actors On Location! attraction at Universal Studios Florida will permanently close on November 3, 2026. The closure marks the end of a live entertainment offering that has been part of the park since its opening on June 7, 1990.

While the official operating calendar lists November 3 as the permanent closure date, reports indicate that November 2, 2026, may serve as the final performance date. Universal has stated that the space will eventually make way for a new experience, though the company has not yet disclosed the specific nature of the replacement, a construction timetable, or an opening date.

The attraction has undergone various name changes over the decades, previously operating as Animal Planet Live, and remains a significant link to the park’s original filmmaking-themed roots.
