Minions & Monsters trailer unveiled ahead of July 2026 worldwide release

Universal Pictures released the final trailer for Minions & Monsters, the third standalone film in the Minions franchise and the seventh entry in the Despicable Me universe. Directed and narrated by co‑creator Pierre Coffin, the animated adventure is set in Hollywood’s Golden Era and follows a creative Minion named James who dreams of making movies but inadvertently frees a gang of monsters that threaten the world.

The trailer features a comedic Cyclops gag where the giant steps on a Lego‑like block, underscoring the film’s blend of slap‑stick humor and fantasy. The voice cast includes Pierre Coffin as the Minions and new talent such as Allison Janney, Christoph Waltz, Jeff Bridges, Jesse Eisenberg, Zoey Deutch, Trey Parker, Bobby Moynihan and Phil LaMarr. The movie follows the massive success of Despicable Me 4 and adds to a franchise that has generated over US$5 billion globally.

Minions & Monsters is slated to open in cinemas worldwide on 1 July 2026, with an earlier Australian release on 25 June and ticket sales already underway in Brazil and other markets.
