Universal Store Holdings reports sales growth and expansion plans

Universal Store Holdings reported a strong fiscal year, with annual sales increasing 12.9 per cent to $376.1 million. The company’s underlying after-tax net profit rose 16.3 per cent to $40.5 million for FY26.

Growth was driven by the namesake brand, Universal Store, which saw sales rise 11.5 per cent to $313.3 million, and Perfect Stranger, which experienced a 40.8 per cent increase to $35.9 million. However, sales for the CTC (Cheap Thrills Cycle) brand declined by 9.2 per cent to $36.4 million. Wholesale revenue also fell 18.9 per cent due to lower US exports and the closure of several retail accounts.

Following these results, CEO Alice Barbery announced plans to accelerate expansion in FY27, with the group aiming to open between 16 and 20 new stores. This includes approximately nine to 10 Universal Store locations and six to eight Perfect Stranger stores.
