Universal Studios Japan opens Resident Evil Requiem horror maze

Universal Studios Japan announced a new haunted‑house attraction called Resident Evil Requiem: The Dive. The maze recreates the abandoned Renwood Hotel from the video‑game franchise, placing guests in a ruined hotel filled with zombies, grotesque creatures and 360‑degree scares. Live‑action sequences feature the series’ protagonists Leon Kennedy and FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft as visitors search for her and try to survive.

The attraction operates in Stage 18 from 11 September through 27 December, coinciding with the park’s 25th‑anniversary celebrations. Detailed set pieces include crumbling corridors, rusted fire escapes and flickering streetlights designed to give a suffocating sense of tension.
