Universidad Andrés Bello advances international academic initiatives
The Faculty of Education and Humanities at Universidad Andrés Bello (UNAB) is advancing international academic collaborations through two distinct initiatives.
As part of the Faculty International project, the Early Childhood Education program is hosting online classes focused on mathematics teaching strategies for children aged 0 to 6. The sessions, led by Dr. Edelmira Badillo from the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, aim to strengthen didactic training for future educators by linking theoretical foundations with practical classroom applications.
Additionally, UNAB hosted a lecture titled “Doing Global History from Chile?”, presented by Dr. Felipe Martínez. The session explored opportunities for conducting historical research from Chile using international funding and archives. Dr. Martínez shared insights from his research on medical experimentation and antibacterials in Chile (1929–1973), highlighting how international networks and institutions like the Rockefeller Archive Center support local scientific and historical investigations.
