Universidad Austral de Chile veterinary sciences ranked top 75 globally

The Faculty of Veterinary Sciences at the Universidad Austral de Chile (UACh) has been ranked among the top 75 in the world according to the Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS).

Dean Dr. Rafael Burgos attributed this achievement to the faculty's sustained research excellence in areas such as infectious and parasitic diseases, animal production, wildlife, animal welfare, immunology, and veterinary pharmacology. The research is closely linked to the region's livestock production, specifically involving ruminants, bovines, and aquatic species.

Additionally, UACh's agricultural sciences were recognized as being among the top three in Chile and the first in the southern macro-region. The ranking evaluates more than 2,000 institutions across 96 countries.
