Universidad Autónoma de Baja California honors academic and athletic achievements

The Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC) has issued several recognitions to its academic and athletic communities.

Twenty-one educational programs were honored for high academic performance after being included in the EGEL Plus Registry for the 2023-2025 period. Rector Luis Enrique Palafox Maestre noted that these distinctions result from sustained institutional strategies and the commitment of faculty, staff, and students across the university's three campuses.

Additionally, the university recognized 45 athletes for their achievements in national and international competitions. This group includes 41 medalists from the 2026 ANUIES National University Championships and four high-performance athletes who earned medals during the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo. The university emphasized the importance of balancing athletic discipline with academic progression.
