Mexican educational institutions launch digital safety and cybersecurity initiatives

Several educational and municipal initiatives are underway in Mexico to address digital safety, cybersecurity, and social values.

The Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua (UACH), in collaboration with the Corporación Universitaria para el Desarrollo de Internet (CUDI), is hosting the 10th Cybersecurity Conference for higher education. The event features workshops and lectures aimed at strengthening the ability of academic institutions to manage information security risks and protect digital environments.

In Querétaro, the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro (UAQ) and USEBEQ have partnered to provide digital training to public primary and secondary schools. This program focuses on the ethical and responsible use of information technologies for students and their families. Additionally, the Querétaro Municipal DIF and USEBEQ have launched the ‘Botsu Muntsi, El Mundo del Abuelo’ project to promote respect and empathy toward older adults within the school system.

Separately, municipal authorities in Querétaro have ordered the closure of an expansion phase at Universidad Cuauhtémoc due to non-compliance with mobility regulations and local resident complaints regarding traffic in the Loma Dorada neighborhood.
