Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa implements financial reengineering and tech upgrades
The Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa (UAS) is implementing institutional transformation strategies focused on administrative, financial, and regulatory reengineering. These measures aim to ensure long-term sustainability and address complex financial crises, including managing pension system commitments and optimizing resource use.
Representatives from UAS shared these strategies with the Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas (UAZ) to facilitate an exchange of institutional experiences regarding the financial challenges facing public universities.
In addition to administrative reforms, UAS is investing in technological infrastructure. The university's Northern Regional Unit (URN) recently received new computer equipment intended to benefit more than 10,000 students across various academic units, supporting teaching, learning, and professional development through modernized information technology.
