Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa promotes inclusion and sports development

The Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa (UAS) has launched the ‘Somos Inclusión’ program in collaboration with the Culiacán City Council to promote inclusivity and empathy among youth. At the Emiliano Zapata Preparatory School, the initiative included workshops, psychological sessions, and demonstrations of adapted sports, such as wheelchair basketball and goalball, to help students understand the experiences of people with disabilities.

In a separate effort to support student development, the UAS General Directorate of Sports delivered specialized athletic equipment to the Southern Regional Unit (URS). This distribution includes supplies for basketball, baseball, boxing, athletics, volleyball, and softball, aimed at benefiting over 2,000 students involved in both high-performance competitive teams and mass activation programs.
