CONALEP implements virtual reality and simulators for technical training

The National College of Technical Professional Education (CONALEP) has begun implementing Immersive Innovation Hubs to enhance technical training for its students. These hubs utilize virtual reality, haptic technology, and 18 different technological simulators to provide practical experience in environments that mimic real-world professional settings.

According to Public Education Secretary Mario Delgado Carrillo, this strategy is part of the National Baccalaureate initiative, which started implementation in the second half of 2026. The goal is to complement classroom learning with demonstrable competencies. The equipment will be distributed to CONALEP campuses through mobile units accompanied by technical instructors. The inclusion of haptic technology allows students to experience physical sensations such as pressure, temperature, and texture during their training.
