Regional sports and academic events announced in Mexico and Spain

Various sporting and academic events are scheduled in Mexico and Spain. In Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, the Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas (UAT) is organizing the Gran Rodada UAT 14K cycling event on Sunday, September 20. The free event aims to promote university sports values and will feature a route starting at Parque Tamatán and ending at the Rectoría offices, including musical programs and bicycle raffles.

In the same region, Samuel Castillo Ibarra, a student from the Universidad Politécnica de Victoria (UPV), secured third place in the TamCoder 2026 State Programming Contest. The competition, organized by Cinvestav and other regional agencies, focused on identifying programming talent among university students.

In Toledo, Spain, the first Imperial Hybrid Race will take place this Sunday. The event combines running and functional training, with over 400 participants expected to navigate the city's historic district, the banks of the Tagus River, and the Armory Factory Campus. The race is part of the European Week of Sport and aims to promote sports tourism in the region.
