Universidad Católica de Cuyo partners with San Juan sports federations for coach training

The Universidad Católica de Cuyo (UCCuyo) has signed two cooperation agreements with San Juan province’s sports bodies. One pact with the Liga Sanjuanina de Fútbol will launch a 200‑hour academic course for futsal coaches, delivered by the Instituto de Formación Docente Santa María through a hybrid format of Saturday classes and virtual sessions from August to December. League president Juan Valiente highlighted the province’s large number of futsal clubs and the need for qualified technical directors.

A second agreement with the Federación Sanjuanina de Patín establishes similar training and continuing‑education programmes for roller‑hockey coaches. Both initiatives aim to professionalise coaching, improve tactical and pedagogical skills, and strengthen the overall development of the respective sports in San Juan.
