Estudiantes de La Plata advances to Copa Libertadores quarterfinals

Estudiantes de La Plata advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2026 Copa Libertadores after defeating Universidad Católica 3-0 in Santiago, Chile. Following a 1-1 draw in the first leg, the Argentine side secured a 4-1 aggregate victory.

Joaquín Correa opened the scoring in the 43rd minute with a strike from outside the area. In the second half, Guido Carrillo secured the win with two goals, scoring in the 53rd and 83rd minutes. The victory allows the team, led by manager Alexander Medina, to progress to the next stage.
