Universidad Católica Nordestana celebrates 90th graduation ceremony

The Universidad Católica Nordestana (UCNE) held its 90th ordinary graduation ceremony in San Francisco de Macorís, conferring degrees upon 591 new professionals. The graduating class consisted of 398 women and 193 men, including 274 undergraduate students, 310 postgraduate students, and 7 technical program graduates. The cohort also included 17 international students from the United States, Venezuela, and Spain.

During the ceremony, Melba Segura de Grullón, president of the Sur Futuro Foundation, delivered the keynote address, urging graduates to practice humility, protect the environment, and serve society with ethical responsibility. UCNE Rector Isaac García de la Cruz emphasized that university training carries a responsibility that transcends personal achievement.

Notable academic achievements within this class included BIM Revit certification for Architecture graduates and double degrees for Psychopedagogy Master's graduates through an agreement with Euroinnova of Spain. Additionally, seven new doctors in Educational Sciences were recognized, having completed their studies through a consortium of higher education institutions.
