Universidad de Chile must win to stay alive in Copa de la Liga semifinals
Universidad de Chile faces Audax Italiano in the final Group D match of the 2026 Copa de la Liga. A victory gives the club ten points, but it also needs Unión La Calera to lose to Deportes La Serena for the group’s top spot. Coach Fernando Gago added three youth players—defender Franco Roni Fernández, forward Andrés Bolaño and midfielder Matías Riquelme—to the squad.
Simultaneously, Ñublense and Universidad de Concepción played in Group B, with Ñublense securing a 2‑1 win to finish the group with 11 points and clinch a semifinal berth. Universidad Católica also needed a win over Cobresal and a slip‑up by the Diablos Rojos to advance. Other fixtures, such as Huachipato versus Colo Colo, featured teams already eliminated from the tournament.
The parallel results will determine the four semifinalists: Audax Italiano, Unión La Calera, Ñublense, and Universidad Católica, depending on the outcomes of the final matches.
