Universidad de Colima expands semiconductor training with new lab equipment

Students and faculty of the Faculty of Electromechanical Engineering at the Universidad de Colima, Manzanillo campus, received specialized training on semiconductor testing, measurement and characterization equipment. The program, led by certified Tektronix specialists, combined theory with hands‑on exercises to improve competence in using advanced instruments.

The training leverages the recently upgraded Design and Test Semiconductor Laboratory, which now includes a Keithley 4200A‑SCS system for detailed electrical analysis of materials and devices. The initiative aims to strengthen the university’s technological infrastructure for teaching, research and innovation in high‑tech sectors.
