Universidad de Concepción del Uruguay holds first in-person distance education graduation

The Universidad de Concepción del Uruguay (UCU) held its 48th Graduation Ceremony for the Department of Distance Education. This event marked a historic milestone as the first ceremony to bring together graduates from this modality in person.

The ceremony included remarks from Rector Dr. Héctor César Sauret and Vice-Rector Carlos Andrés Neuman. Neuman highlighted the growth of the distance learning program, noting that it currently serves over 4,000 students. Since the department's inception, the UCU has graduated more than 1,262 professionals through this modality, with over 1,200 of those completing their studies within the last five years.
