Universidad de Guanajuato hosts international sexual health research congress

The Universidad de Guanajuato (UG) hosted the Second International Research Congress focused on integral, ethical, and care-based approaches to sexual and reproductive health. The event, held at the Guanajuato Campus, also included the sixth meeting of the Research Network.

The congress brought together academics from 15 different universities. During the opening ceremony, Dr. Lucía Caudillo Ortega emphasized that research in this field is tied to rights, dignity, autonomy, and social justice, noting the importance of addressing existing inequalities and barriers in society. Dr. María Aurora Montañez Frausto, Director of the Department of Nursing and Obstetrics, also participated in the inaugural proceedings.
