Universidad de las Ciencias de la Salud opens new campus in Aragua de Barcelona

A new campus of the Universidad de las Ciencias de la Salud Hugo Chávez Frías has opened in the Aragua de Barcelona municipality, located in the Anzoátegui state of Venezuela. The facility was established as a direct result of projects approved through the National Popular Consultation (Consulta Popular Nacional).

The new campus currently serves 314 students enrolled in National Training Programs (PNF) for Community Integral Medicine and Nursing, with an estimated future capacity of up to 1,540 students. The infrastructure, built from the ground up, includes five classrooms, administrative offices, and bathrooms, and is equipped with computers and teaching materials.

Funding for the project was provided by the Servicio Fondo Nacional del Poder Popular (Safonapp), the Federal Government Council (CFG), and the regional government. The inauguration was attended by Minister of Communes, Social Movements, and Urban Agriculture Ángel Prado, along with local authorities and community members.
