Universidad de San Andrés emphasizes critical thinking amid global shifts

During a conference in Uruguay titled ‘Leading without a manual: the power of judgment,’ the Universidad de San Andrés presented its educational proposals, including a Dual MBA partnership with Universidad ORT. Ariel Urcola, Director of Executive Education at Universidad de San Andrés, emphasized that critical thinking is the most essential skill in a modern landscape where truth is increasingly difficult to discern.

Urcola noted significant geopolitical shifts, describing a world transitioning from Western to Eastern dominance, with China rising while the United States remains in a state of conflict. He observed that technological companies are becoming more powerful than nation-states, often operating in a landscape where traditional institutions are struggling to keep pace with rapid advancements in artificial intelligence and global challenges like climate change.
