Universidad de Talca presents book by sculptor Francisco Gazitúa
The University of Talca, through its publishing house, has presented 'Palabra emplazada', a new book by the 2021 National Prize for Plastic Arts winner, Francisco Gazitúa. The volume was presented at the Galería ArtEspacio in Santiago.
Edited by Guillermo García, the work is unique among art books as it is intentionally devoid of photographic records of sculptures. Instead, it focuses on Gazitúa's personal writings, handwritten accounts, and theoretical reflections regarding his creative process and relationship with materials. The publication aims to highlight the intellectual and poetic foundation behind the artist's physical works.
