Universidad del Desarrollo celebrates 20 years of film program

The Universidad del Desarrollo (UDD) is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its Film and Audiovisual Communication program with a special film cycle at the Cineteca Nacional de Chile. The event, titled “Cine UDD: 20 años, 20 películas,” features 20 films produced by program alumni.

Founded in 2006, the Cine UDD program is noted for a model where students graduate by directing professional feature-length films with commercial releases. The program's works have been recognized at international festivals such as Berlinale, San Sebastián, and Locarno.

In addition to the film screenings, the anniversary includes the launch of a commemorative book that documents the creative, production, and pedagogical processes behind each graduation project.
