Universidad del Sinú deepens collaboration with business and government in Montería

Dr. Adriana Suárez de Lacouture, rector of the Universidad del Sinú’s Montería campus, took part in the seventh session of the Comité Universidad, Empresa y Estado (CUEE) held at the Montería mayor’s office. She highlighted the university’s expanding academic offerings, new micro‑credential programs, and its commitment to joint research and consultancy projects with the private sector and public agencies.

The meeting focused on linking the university’s Doctorate in Institutional Management with the interdisciplinary research team (CUS) of the Faculty of Economic, Administrative and Accounting Sciences, which is classified by Minciencias as A1. The collaboration will address talent gaps in tourism and agro‑industry, while additional research groups will study the mining‑energy sector (GNOCIX) and health sector challenges, drawing on groups rated A and A1 by Minciencias. The rector emphasized that these partnerships aim to make the university’s programs more relevant to regional economic and social development in Montería and the wider Córdoba department.
