Universidad Interamericana provides medical assistance to students in Pedro Juan Caballero

Universidad Interamericana conducted a health extension project in Pedro Juan Caballero, providing medical assistance and clinical evaluations to approximately 150 students. The initiative targeted students from two local institutions: Escuela Básica N.º 1336 Arroyo Gasorye and Escuela Básica N.º 3993 Cerro Akua, covering levels from initial education to the 6th grade.

Medical students from the university performed clinical inspections and electrocardiograms. These evaluations are required by the Paraguayan Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare and the Ministry of Education and Sciences for students to participate in physical and sporting activities. The project was coordinated by Dr. Marcia Villa Alta and was launched following formal requests from the schools to address identified medical assessment needs.
