Universidad Internacional de Andalucía conducts summer archaeology and AI courses in Andalusia

The Universidad Internacional de Andalucía (UNIA) has opened the eighth edition of its Quaternary Archaeology summer course in Bedmar, Jaén, running from 17 July to 2 August 2026. The program, jointly organized by the Antonio Machado Campus in Baeza and the Centro de Investigaciones Prehistóricas de Sierra Mágina, enrolls 24 students and includes field excavations at the Cueva del Nacimiento del Río Cuadros, laboratory work, and lectures by specialists such as Pilar Fatás and José Manuel Castro.

In the final week of its summer programme, UNIA also launched five additional courses at the La Rábida campus in Palos de la Frontera from 20 to 23 July. These cover artificial‑intelligence tools for education and finance, renewable‑energy opportunities in Huelva, contracultural poetry and performance, and public‑contracting law, featuring instructors from the Universities of Sevilla, Huelva, Almería, Madrid and other research institutions.
