Universidad Michoacana expands international academic mobility

The Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo (UMSNH) is expanding its international and national presence through its academic mobility program. This initiative allows students to pursue studies at other higher education institutions while also welcoming students from Mexico and various countries to the university.

Karen Téllez Váldes, head of National and International Mobility at the UMSNH Directorate of Liaison and Social Service, stated that the program provides opportunities for students to experience different educational models and broaden their professional perspectives. Recent student exchanges have included destinations such as Spain, Colombia, Chile, Peru, and Brazil, as well as Mexican institutions like the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).

In the most recently concluded semester, approximately 650 students from external public and private institutions participated in academic activities at UMSNH. The mobility program covers various educational levels, including high school, undergraduate, master's, and doctoral studies, as well as research and thesis stays.
