Universidad Nacional de Asunción faces academic integrity allegations

The Law Faculty of the Universidad Nacional de Asunción (UNA) is facing internal scrutiny following allegations of academic misconduct. The Centro de Estudiantes de Derecho (CEDEUNA) has reported that student delegates and leaders may have used their influence to facilitate academic favors for certain students or deliberately cause others to fail through complicity with faculty members.

The Centro de Estudiantes General Bernardino Caballero issued a statement condemning these actions, asserting that such behavior violates principles of equality, transparency, and academic integrity. They emphasized that academic evaluations must not be used as tools for negotiation, retaliation, or influence peddling, particularly when those involved hold official student representative positions.

In a separate initiative, CEDEUNA is also organizing a voluntary blood donation campaign titled ‘Dona sangre, regala vida’ (Donate blood, give life) to promote social commitment and support medical emergencies and surgical interventions.
