Universidad Nacional de Colombia students present regional research

Four research projects from students at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Orinoquia branch, have been selected to participate in the National and International Meeting of Research Seedbeds organized by RedCOLSI in Montería.

The selected studies focus on regional biodiversity and animal welfare. Three projects investigate the properties of local plant species: one examines Hyptis dilatata for potential use in sunscreens, another analyzes the phytochemical profile and antibacterial properties of Jatropha gossypiifolia (tua tua), and a third explores Plectranthus ornatus, commonly known as the acetaminophen plant. The fourth project focuses on the sanitary conditions of a pig farm.
