Universidad Nacional de Formosa faces institutional crisis

The Universidad Nacional de Formosa (UNaF) is experiencing significant institutional instability following a series of administrative and physical confrontations. The Faculty of Humanities' Governing Council unanimously voted to remove council members Zully Rivero and Fernando Gauto from their positions due to repeated, unjustified absences, in accordance with internal regulations.

Following their removal, reports emerged of aggressive behavior by the former council members. Allegations include intimidation, banging on doors, and confrontations with faculty and non-teaching staff. One former member reportedly expressed an intent to provoke the dean during these incidents.

Broader tensions within the university administration led by Rector Augusto Parmetler include accusations of undermining faculty autonomy. Critics have cited arbitrary transfers of academic and administrative personnel, as well as the unauthorized changing of locks and removal of equipment from the Faculty of Natural Resources' session hall.
