Universidad Nacional del Comahue expands library resources in Neuquén

The Universidad Nacional del Comahue (UNCo) in Argentina released a new Spanish‑as‑a‑Second‑Language manual for beginners, aimed at young adult learners traveling or studying in Patagonia. The book, created by students and teachers of the university’s third cohort of the Diploma in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language, addresses a shortage of locally‑situated teaching materials.

During a visit to the Juan José Brión Parliamentary Library in Neuquén, UNCo rector Christian Lopes and vice‑rector Lorena Higuera met with legislative vice‑president Zulma Reina. The meeting highlighted the library’s role as a study hub for more than 1,700 university students each month, offering reading rooms, Wi‑Fi, computers, headphones, and a digital catalogue. The partnership underscores the close ties between the provincial legislature and UNCo, providing students across Neuquén province with convenient access to academic resources.
