Universidad Nacional del Nordeste announces blood donation drives

The Universidad Nacional del Nordeste (UNNE) has called upon its students, faculty, staff, and the broader community to participate in upcoming solidarity blood donation drives. The initiative is organized by the University's Comprehensive University Health Care Program (PAISU) in collaboration with the Central Blood Bank of Corrientes and the Specialized Hemotherapy Center of Chaco.

The donation drives are scheduled at three different locations:

• September 2: Ex Comedor Universitario, Corrientes (9:00 to 12:00). • September 30: Campus Resistencia (9:00 to 12:00). • October 2: Campus Deodoro Roca, Corrientes (9:00 to 12:00).

To participate, donors must be over 16 years old, weigh more than 50 kilograms, and be in good health. Requirements include presenting a national ID (DNI), being well-rested and hydrated, and ensuring that any tattoos or piercings were performed at least six months prior. Those who have recovered from COVID-19 may donate one month after recovery. Donors are not required to fast but should avoid dairy and fatty foods, though water, coffee, or tea are permitted.
