Universidad Politécnica de Chihuahua issues digital professional credentials

The Universidad Politécnica de Chihuahua (UPCH) has issued digital professional titles and both state and federal professional licenses to 166 new graduates during a recent graduation ceremony.

The institution introduced the Policard, an institutional credential that utilizes a QR code to allow graduates to access, store, and present their digital professional documents to potential employers. Rector Cristopher James Barousse stated that the Policard is part of a modernization effort to meet the requirements of the productive sector.

The graduates represent various fields, including Aeronautical Engineering, Automotive Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Technology and Sustainability Engineering, and Business Administration and Management. During the event, the university also presented the Oso Negro awards to Luis Raúl Baca Pérez for sporting merit, Maité Daphne Hernández Vargas for academic merit, and Carlos Alejandro Payán Herrera for leadership.
