Universidad San Sebastián and CET Concepción collaborate on reintegration project

Universidad San Sebastián (USS) is working with the Centro de Educación y Trabajo (CET) in Concepción to support the reintegration of individuals through a collaborative project focused on health, well-being, and autonomy.

The initiative, titled “Garantías en Salud y Promoción de Vida Sana para Personas en Proceso de Reinserción,” builds upon six years of institutional cooperation. The project employs an interdisciplinary approach involving students from various fields, including Nutrition and Dietetics, Nursing, Speech Therapy, Dentistry, Medical Technology, and Digital Animation.

Key activities include health education, prevention, and labor preparation. The project also plans to implement a first aid room to provide basic health services to CET Concepción residents. According to Andrés Quiñones, a psychologist with Gendarmería de Chile, the goal is to help individuals reconstruct sustainable life projects beyond mere abstinence or employment.
