Universidad San Sebastián promotes English literature in Concepción schools

Students from the Universidad San Sebastián (USS) are implementing a community outreach project to improve English reading comprehension among fourth and fifth-grade students in the Gran Concepción area.

Led by academic Dr. Gabriel Romero Karlsson, the initiative involves the design of pedagogical materials, such as reading activity books, and the implementation of interactive experiences at Wenga Coronel and Forjadores de Chile schools in Penco. The project utilizes read-aloud activities and post-reading exercises to foster analytical skills.

English Pedagogy students are collaborating with Digital Animation students to create adapted educational resources, aiming to strengthen both student learning and the professional competencies of future English teachers.
