Universidad Tecnológica de Parral upgrades laboratories with advanced equipment

The Universidad Tecnológica de Parral (UTP) has upgraded its laboratory infrastructure with advanced specialized equipment to enhance student training and regional technical services.

Key acquisitions include a universal testing machine with a 600 kilonewton capacity for evaluating material behavior under tension, compression, and flexion, as well as an impact testing machine for analyzing material toughness. These tools are intended for use in the construction, metallurgy, and automotive industries. Additionally, the university acquired a PerkinElmer PinAAcle 900F atomic absorption spectrophotometer for the Mining program, allowing for high-precision quantitative analysis of elements such as gold, silver, copper, and zinc.

UTP Rector Betty Chávez Mata noted that these investments strengthen the educational model and position the institution as a technological reference in the state of Chihuahua.
