Regional calls open for research, democracy grants, and sustainability awards
Various regional and international organizations have announced upcoming calls for research, grants, and sustainability awards.
In Jujuy, Argentina, the Ministry of Health is organizing the 3rd Provincial Health Research Conference on November 27. The event, titled ‘La ciencia de la Salud entre cerros, quebradas, selvas y valles’, invites researchers and students to present work via digital posters. Registration is free, and the deadline for submitting abstracts is November 8.
In Latin America, Grupo SURA and Fundación Bolívar Davivienda have launched the PensarConOtros 2026 call. This initiative offers up to USD 50,000 to ten selected projects in Colombia and ten other Latin American countries. The grants focus on strengthening citizen participation and women's leadership in democracy.
In Chile, the Universidad Tecnológica Metropolitana (UTEM) has extended the application deadline for the Sustenta 2026 Award to October 7. The award recognizes companies, both domestic and foreign, that operate in Chile and demonstrate impactful sustainable business practices.
