The university warned that these offers are likely tactics used to obtain personal information for misuse. Students are advised not to accept such offers from unverified individuals, as linking personal data to suspicious devices or phone lines can expose sensitive information. Members of the university community can report suspicious activity to their academic entity's SUGIR liaison for guidance.
