Universidade da Coruña establishes new Digital Strategy and AI Vice-Rectorate

The Universidade da Coruña has officially announced a partial renewal of its government team. A key feature of this restructuring is the creation of a new Vice-Rectorate for Digital Strategy and Artificial Intelligence. This new department aims to strengthen the institution's response to digitalization and integrate AI as a transversal element across both academic and research activities.

During the inauguration ceremony, Rector Ricardo Cao described the change as the beginning of a “new stage” for the university. He expressed gratitude to the outgoing officials for their contributions during a complex period characterized by economic, organizational, and strategic challenges. Cao emphasized that the university is in a decisive moment to consolidate growth and lead the transformations currently affecting its environment.
