Universidade Federal do Acre hosts inclusion cultural event
The Federal University of Acre (Ufac) held the first ‘Entresentidos: Arte, Corpo e Inclusão’ cultural event, which included both online and in-person stages. The initiative commemorates National Disability Rights Day.
The event highlights the institutional transition of the Support Center for Inclusion (NAI), which has been integrated into the newly created Pro-Rectory of Affirmative Action and Equity (Proafe). Letícia Mamed, the pro-rector, stated that the goal is to place students with disabilities at the center of institutional policy to ensure quality education and research throughout their academic careers.
Ufac currently has over 700 students with disabilities enrolled across its main campus and the Floresta campus in Cruzeiro do Sul.
